BIG NEWS! Bronte has been caught! More information later today. Here is the original story posted on the Bring Bronte Home Facebook page. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bronte was on his way from Thompson, MB to Winnipeg. He was delayed in Thompson so the staff wanted to give him a break and took him out of his kennel. They put him back and he was loaded on to the plane. The plane landed in Winnipeg July 31 at night, and the carrier was loaded onto a cart beside a dog. The dog was taken to a parking lot where he was unloaded (this was at night). The cart went on to 930 Ferry Rd. at which time they went to unload Brontes carrier and discovered the door was open and Bronte was gone. Bronte could be anywhere on the route from Calm Air Cargo to 930 Ferry Rd. He could also be in the Calm Air Cargo building as no one can say for sure if he was lost there or outside, en route. Calm Air has checked the belly of the plane to make sure he did not escape there as no one could confirm he didnt escape at that time. He has not been found in the plane at this point. Calm Air Thompson did confirm he was loaded on to the plane bound for Winnipeg. Bronte is a black, neutered cat with a few white hairs on his chest. He is very friendly and was wearing a red harness, which he is very used to wearing. He does not have a tattoo or microchip but the hairs on his chest are distinct in case he ditches his harness. He is a very friendly cat and does know to catch mice, but has a tendency to develop crystals in his bladder. WATER is going to be very important for him on the grounds.
