If you can help this sweet boy Please contact the HELP DESK ...urgentassistancenyc@gmail A volunteer writes: Bishop is one of those handsome yet humble guys that you cant help but love and his calm, friendly demeanor has quickly put him at the top of everyones list of favorite dogs. Hes just such an easy boy and in everything from walking (like an extension of his human) to greeting other dogs (softly and politely) Bishop amazes with his good manners and quiet dignity. Its no wonder that he aced his behavior evaluation with near perfect scores across the board and the notes left by his former family include the word gentle more than any other. Were told Bishop is friendly toward children, knows his commands for sit, down and stay and is totally cool with being groomed, bathed or handled any which way, nothing fazes him, not even thunder and lightening! Though hes officially a senior, Bishop is 8 years young and still loves to play fetch or tug-o-war, sitting politely without prompting to await my throw and dashing to retrieve the ball, not for another toss but so he can immediately set about peeling it as methodically and delicately as possible. Obviously he prefers to keep his things to himself but hell never guard either toys or food and I can reach my hand right into his mouth to try (and fail!) to pull the ball away. Petting is welcomed and he lets me snuggle and rub him all over, signaling his appreciation with a softly wagging tail and some sweet smiles.
