BISI’s Academic Grants can support post-graduate students engaged in research, pilot projects or the organisation of academic conferences that focus principally on the lands and peoples of Iraq. We welcome applications from the full range of arts, humanities and social sciences, and topics may cover any time period from prehistory to the present. Research & Conference Grants are usually up to £4,000 per grant. Pilot project grants are usually up to £8,000 per grant. Grants are open to researchers officially affiliated a UK Higher Education Institution. Please note that BISI cannot fund student course fees or living costs.
