BJP high command ready to sacrifice some seats to accommodate JKNPP 7/27/2014 11:30:14 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, July 27: State unit of BJP is under pressure to enter into alliance with pre-poll alliance with Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP). Some leaders especially those belong to Udhampur district are opposing any under-standing with JKNPP but high command has decided to accommodate JKNPP to avoid division of pro-Jammu votes. Credible sources in the BJP said that some central leaders of the party were in touch with JKNPP leaders especially Bhim Singh and Harsh Dev Singh. They want alliance with JKNPP at any cost. JKNPP has been demanding six to eight seats and BJP high command is ready to leave such seats in the interest of Jammu. Credible sources said that Union Minister , Dr Jitandra Singh, who is emerged as a strong leader of state BJP, is also of the opinion that some effective steps should be taken to avoid pro-Jammu votes in the Assembly elections. Dr Jitandra Singh has also suggested that all pro-Jammu forces should be accommodated for the larger interests of this region. Sources said that BJP central leadership has argued that for the last two successive elections party has lost Chenani, Udhampur, Ramnagar and Samba assembly segments so there was nothing wrong in leaving these seats for JKNPP. Furthermore, party is also ready to leave Mahore and Gool seats for the party to avoid division of pro-Jammu votes. Party is even thinking to leave Billawar and Ramban segments for JKNPP. Despite opposition by local unit, high command is seriously considering to further initiative dialogue with JKNPP to form an alliance to take on Congress in Udhampur and Ramban districts.
