BKMAS NEWSLETTER – June 2013 Gradings Gup gradings will be held on the following dates: 5th September 2013 5th December 2013 As always, students will be invited to grade dependent on their attitude, effort and behaviour during class time. The Dan grading will be held on 9th November 2013 Little Ninja Grading Congratulations to the Little Ninjas Rhudi & Robyn who graded up to green belt and special congratulations to Brooklyn and Danny who graded up to black belt. A fantastic effort by all you Ninjas, keep up the brilliant work! Junior & Senior Grading Congratulations to all who graded up to their next belt. Student Guides It is planned to produce a student guide in the near future. This short booklet will include terminology, general rules, codes, tenets and attitude requirements, information on the belt system, the Korean flag, meditation, um yang and five element theories. If you want to see anything else or specific in the guide then let one of the instructors know and we can discuss. Etiquette Arrive at the dojang at least 10-15 minutes before class is due to start, bow when entering the dojang, Bow to the Dan holders, stretch off in preparation to class. If a student is late, they are to approach one of the instructors who are not carrying out instruction and request permission to join in, they are then to line up at the back of the class. When leaving, remember to take all your equipment with you, bow when leaving the dojang and leave the dojang in a clean and tidy state. TANG SOO!
