BLACK OR WHITE(By Edmond Crayjay Miti.) Whether we say he was a good leader, a great leader, a ruler or even boss, The fact still remains that our country my country. . Our people.. have suffered a great loss. Its true and evident that nothing in lifes forever,songs end, tears dry and even plants whither except for God above who is the same yesterday today and forever. But in honour of a great man.. a leader... our leader. .a son of africa... a father to not only his children but our nation... a truly patriotic man lets take our hats off and give his life a round of applause. .. celebrate his achievements, remember his jokes & build a memory together as a nation but above all mourn him in love & with love. It doesnt matter whether his successor is black or white, As long as the countrys future with him is bright let us stand behind our new or temporal leader. I dont know however you may call it but black & white has been the order of the past & todays questions Why do white cars ride on black tires? Why do we mostly wear a black tie on a white shirt? Why do we mostly put a white print on black material & vice versa? Why do the white Americans have a black president? Why is the symbol of peace white & the symbol of war black? And lastly go to every public toilet & Zambian household & tell me the most dorminant colour of their toilet paper. Whats with black & white? I do not know! All I know is that one cant do without the other and when handled well the combination is beautiful. ... In as much as being a president is a position dont forget the fact that it is also a function. The nation has lost a great man,he deserves a moment of silence . lets Quit the unnecessary quarrels of his successor or else it will end up in unnecessary violence. Less than a week ago we celebrated our 50th anniversary as a nation of peace tranquility. ...Oneness. ...Joy..... and Freedom. ... on that day we celebrated without looking at race.....tribe or political affiliations. .... a United and unique nation is what we showed the world. ... and it is what the world needs to see in us today... our faith is at test our expression of love is been tested. ... our Christianity as a nation is been tested. .. lets put all hope in christ... lets re build. ..and reorganise our selves and understand that true love isnt the absence of conflict but the ability to still find a way to stand together as one accepting that we as individuals will always have conflicting interests, ideologies, beliefs and even motivations but can still unite and find a way to forge ahead together through a common goal..... I say rest in peace my president. .. and turn to my fellow country men and women and say... Viva zambia Viva!!!!..... zambia is Gods land.... zambia is saved...this dark cloud to us signals hard work. .. and together we shall rebuild. .. one Zambia one Nation!!!. ... God bless you all and may he be with us as a nation through this trying moment.
