BLD-Cebu 25th Anniversary Announcement September 2, 2014 1. Good evening Happy People of God! Today starts the month-long culmination of the year-long celebration of our 25th Year Anniversary... 2. God perfectly planned our BLD-Cebu 25th Anniversary Mass with Archbishop Jose Palma as the main presider-celebrant… Praise the Lord! We shall offer special presentation to our beloved Bishop with a 2-song rendition from the BLD Musical Show Chorale; a teaser for the Sept. 19 “One Covenant, One Voice” Musical Show… Please remain seated as they will perform right after all the announcements. 3. As we seek Divine Blessings for the BLD Anniversary Activities, community members are invited to attend our 9-day Novena. First day of our novena will be on Monday, September 8… what a more fitting way to start the novena on Mama Marys birthday!!! Intercessory Ministry will advise you of your Apostolate or Ministry schedule. 4. We continue with the planned Thanksgiving Mass on Tuesday, September 16. It is our prayer that this will also be well-attended together with our BLD Priests... We call and invite all Class Shepherds of the various weekend encounters to join as offerers during the mass.... I repeat, all Class Shepherds of the various weekend encounters as offerers... We likewise enjoin all apostolates and ministry members to help campaign and tag-along your family members, weekend encounter classmates, BLD friends and donors to attend the mass. 5. We invite you to experience & appreciate the Musical Show featuring BLD through the Years, dubbed as One Covenant, One Voice. This will be held on Friday, September 19 at the Mariners’ Court. Our Praise Ministry and a number of talented BLD members will offer us a musical production show as our way of Gratifying and Glorifying the Lord for the gift of BLD Community. 6. Tickets are distributed through your respective apostolates limited to only 35 pcs of P500-red colored tickets per apostolate. We encourage you to buy your tickets from your respective apostolates 7. 70 pcs of P300-blue colored tickets per apostolate 8. and only 140 pcs of P150-yellow-colored tickets per apostolate Treasury Ministry are also selling tickets outside the church for guests as well as those who do not have ministry assignments. 9. And only 75 stubs per Apostolate. With your 100 pesos donation, you can win a package tour trip, overnight accommodation in a resort hotel, electronic gadgets, home items and many many more As announced last week, Sun Travel donated a major prize of a Tour Package to Jeju Island, South Korea for 5 days, good for one (1) person, the holder of the ticket… 10. Other prizes at stake include Overnight stay at Bohol Beach Club, Plantation Bay Resort, MovenPick Cebu and an Island Sanctuary Resort in Mactan 11. We ask each Ministry Coordinators to be the Chief Marketing Officer in their own Ministry, not only in ticket sales but on attendance and participation. Do not delay to buy your tickets from your respective ministries.... Tickets are also sold outside the church and at the Secretariat care of Treasury Ministry, for those who do not belong to any ministry and for guests. 12. We encourage the various weekend encounter classes to hold their class or cluster reunions on or before September 20. We call on all Class Shepherds to initiate/organize your individual class reunions. The following are the Cluster Groupings: i. ME 1-20 ii. ME 21-40 iii. ME 41-50 iv. ME 51-60 v. ME 61-70 vi. ME 71 and up vii. SPE 1-10 viii. SPE 11 and up ix. SE 1-17 x. SE 18-20 xi. SE 21 and up xii. Plus groups from outreach and DIPs. 13. Finally, we shall hold the Grand Reunion and Homecoming, a Family Day combined, on Sunday, September 21 at the gym of the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) in Salinas Drive, Lahug. This will be a day of nostalgic yet fun-filled fellowship among the community members, renewing & rebuilding friendships and reconnecting with those we missed for quite a time from the community. 14. The highlights of the program includes: (changes per DCS still to be incorporated.. we need specifics so that the program committee can revise the program); i. Mass at 7:30 am. We also hope that Archbishop Angel Lagdameo, our Global Spiritual Director and the ECSL from Manila can join us ii. Genealogy and Testimonies iii. Apostolate Presentations Dramatizing their Mandates with respect to the theme and Continuing Programs beyond the anniversary celebration iv. Dance and Praise Worship to be led by the Singles Ministry v. Boodle Lunch per Cluster, a guideline to be disseminated per apostolate vi. Ministry Fair > this is our way of recruiting members without assignment vii. DIP and Outreach Presentations > as our Fruit of Evangelization in the Community viii. Family Encounter Roll Call> as our Fruit of Evangelization among Families ix. Youth Praise Jam> The Youth’s way of expressing their talents x. Contests > these are the Apostolate-initiated Contests xi. Raffles> With major prizes at stake xii. Auction> Valuable donated items shall be auctioned So Block your Calendar and Come in Full Force! 15. While we campaign on the Commitment and Participation of BLD members, we are likewise in dire need of material and financial resources to make these activities successful. Hence, we appeal for your generous hearts to support us in any of the following fund-raising activities: Watching the Musical Show Buying of Raffle Tickets at P100 Donating Prizes for the Raffle… and Door Prizes; Donating food and goods in kind for the Musical Show Practices; Donating your unused, extra or disposable assets, home or office furnishings, jewelries or personal effects that are yet very useful and marketable…. 16. Yes, if you have unused valuable items lying around your house taking up space… and need to be disposed… Donate these to the BLD Silent Auction!!! Again, we are inviting everyone to be counted as Champions and be active participants, hosts, owners and supporters in our Anniversary thrusts… Details of the other programs will be discussed through your ministries.
