BLESSED FEAST DAY OF SAINT CLARE OF ASSISI, dear brothers and sisters of Saint Francis :-) Ask Her for a Spiritual Blessing in your life and of a loved one, today. Let us Pray, In the Name of the Father and of The Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen. Let us begin to Pray to God our Father and Holy Creator, through Saint Clare and Saint Francis of Assisi, Amen. Prayers to St. Clare of Assisi. Patroness of Television Workers Patroness of Sore Eyes Listen to Go Forth Among the People to Go Forth. O Glorious St. Clare! God has given you the power of working miracles continually, and the favor of answering the prayers of those who invoke your assistance in misfortune, anxiety, and distress. We beseech you, obtain from Jesus through Mary His Blessed Mother, what we beg of you so fervently and hopefully, (mention your petition) if it be for the greater honor and glory of God and for the good of our souls. Amen. God of Mercy, You inspired Saint Clare with the love of poverty. By the help of her prayers, may we follow Christ in poverty of spirit and come to the joyful vision of your glory in the kingdom of heaven. We ask this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen. Dear St. Clare, inspired by St. Francis, you became a poor nun for the sake of Jesus, and established the Poor Clares. We are told how greatly you cherished Christ present in the Sacrament of the Altar. Is the Mass not a kind of television of Christs sacrifice on the Cross? Help all television workers to broadcast the truth and draw away from falsehood and evil. Amen. NOVENA TO SAINT CLARE. Dear St. Clare, as a young girl you imitated your mothers love for the poor of your native Assisi. Inspired by the preaching of St. Francis, who sang enthusiastically of His Lord Jesus and Lady Poverty, you gave your life to Jesus at nineteen years of age, allowing St. Francis to cut off your beautiful hair and invest you with the Franciscan habit. All through your life you offered your great suffering for your Sisters, the Poor Clares, and the conversion of souls. You greatly aided St. Francis with his new order, carrying on his spirit in the Franciscans after his death. Most of all you had a deep love of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament, which fueled your vocation to love and care for the poor. Please pray for me (mention your request) that I will seek to keep Jesus as my first love, as you did. Help me to grow in love of the Blessed Sacrament, to care for the poor, and to offer my whole life to God. Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of St. Clare. Through her intercession, please hear and answer my prayer, in the name of Jesus Your Son. Amen. Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi. Canticle of Brother Sun and Sister Moon of St. Francis of Assisi. Most High, all-powerful, all-good Lord, All praise is Yours, all glory, all honour and all blessings. To you alone, Most High, do they belong, and no mortal lips are worthy to pronounce Your Name. Praised be You my Lord with all Your creatures, especially Sir Brother Sun, Who is the day through whom You give us light. And he is beautiful and radiant with great splendour, Of You Most High, he bears the likeness. Praised be You, my Lord, through Sister Moon and the stars, In the heavens you have made them bright, precious and fair. Praised be You, my Lord, through Brothers Wind and Air, And fair and stormy, all weathers moods, by which You cherish all that You have made. Praised be You my Lord through Sister Water, So useful, humble, precious and pure. Praised be You my Lord through Brother Fire, through whom You light the night and he is beautiful and playful and robust and strong. Praised be You my Lord through our Sister, Mother Earth who sustains and governs us, producing varied fruits with coloured flowers and herbs. Praise be You my Lord through those who grant pardon for love of You and bear sickness and trial. Blessed are those who endure in peace, By You Most High, they will be crowned. Praised be You, my Lord through Sister Death, from whom no-one living can escape. Woe to those who die in mortal sin! Blessed are they She finds doing Your Will. No second death can do them harm. Praise and bless my Lord and give Him thanks, And serve Him with great humility. Dear Little King Child Jesus, Teach us like You Did to Your Beloved Children in Saint Clare and in Saint Francis of Assisi, to be Humble, be Patient, be Meek, me Respectful, be Generous, be Patient, be Loving, be Caring, be Understanding and be Faithful To You, O Divine Little King Jesus. Teach us to pray daily for the Blessed Souls of Purgatory daily. to Love Poverty, to Love our friends, to Love our unknown brethren and to even Love our enemies. Amen May Gods Peace Fill our hearts, daily. Saint Clare of Assisi, Pray for us. Saint Francis of Assisi, Pray for us, Amen :-)
