BLESSED...FORTIFIED...AND PROTECTED: A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee (Psalm 91:7). As a child of God, there’s a hedge of protection over your life; it’s placed there by God. Sadly, many breach that hedge without realizing it, through perverse or unwholesome communication. Proverbs 15:4 says, "A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit." 1Peter 3:10 (GNB) says, "…If you want to enjoy life and wish to see good times, you must keep from speaking evil and stop telling lies." Speaking evil means saying things that contradict God’s Word. The cardinal lie is the contradiction of the Word of God. Don’t speak words of fear, or admit that you’re not in safety, irrespective of the perceived danger. Rather, affirm always that no evil shall befall you, because your life is hidden with Christ, in God (Colossians 3:1). Declare that God’s angels are watching over you everywhere you go, to keep you in all your ways.
