BLISSOLOGY Eoin Finn describes Blissology as the philosophy of happiness - it is more of a science and definitely not a religion. However, he claims it brings us back to nature with the help of Yoga, dancing or walking in nature. When we breathe in deeply it brings (prana) life force into our minds. Blissology is not about visiting holy places. It is taking time out for nature appreciation. It is about freedom from the cloned shopping arcades and visiting places less traveled where people protect what they revere - like in Kerala where Eden survives with its coconut groves and bucolic villages. Our lives have gone horribly wrong living so out of balance with nature. Around the world, people are defining themselves as spiritual rather than religious and finding that nature is the ultimate key to unlock mystical experiences, a conduit for love in this world. To sit under a tree and find stillness, stand alone on top of a mountain and observe the vastness of the sky, or sit beside a secluded sea and watch dolphins and whales dance with oblivion. The wisdom of our old philosophy weaves around the ancient native Red Indian saying “When the blood in your veins returns to the sea, and the earth in your bones returns to the ground, perhaps then you will remember that this land does not belong to you, it is you who belong to the land”. Long after we are gone the energy we put in this world lives on.
