BLOOO wins silver! I about had a heart attack at the announcement! Then, about had another heart attack when Blue Devils broke the record of the highest score ever in DCI. I have never seen a drum corps performance so perfectly executed and high achieving! Almost immediately after the scores were announced, the two corps broke their retreat blocks hugging and congratulating each other like they were one drum corps family, Carolina Crown joined in very shortly after. It was such a great thing to witness! On a different topic, Surfs final performance yesterday had so much passion it made me tear up. These past two days have been absolutely magical and inspiring. After so much work, dedication, sacrifice, energy, and time spent, I am reminded why we do this activity...because it is AMAZING and will always be one of the most important cornerstones of my life. Thank you to all the corps who touched my life, and congratulations. To all of my surf friends: I love you all and will miss you terribly. This season is now dead, and I cannot wait to bring another one to life. Continue to hold yourself to high standards of excellence as a person and in everything you do, and chase your dreams. See you in November!
