BLUE MOUNTAINS ROAD = CONQUERED!!! RAWIRI has Inspired us again with an amazing challenge completed today. Rawiri supported by Nathan conquered the mighty Blue Mountains Road out the back of Silverstream, Upper Hutt today. The gruelling climb had Rawiri digging deep as he is now only 5 1/2 weeks away from the BIG GOAL, cycling 90km @ Ironmaori in Napier in December. Rawiri rode non-stop and admits it is the HARDEST thing he has done in his life...our goal was to go under 30minutes and Rawiri crossed the finish line in 24min17sec bottom to top. Getting to the top was amazing to see! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone cross the FINISH LINE says Nathan who was along side Rawiri the whole way. Rawiris partner Nadine was waiting at the top for him and is so proud of what her man is achieving and the great Role Model he has become for his whanau. The clip in cycle shoes made a big difference, thank you to Brent and the team @ Cycle Science Lower Hutt. We cant wait for December the 6th!
