BMR Family good evening. I wanted to send out a late note about a suggestion and recommendation that I have. As part of my requirement to get RRCA certified, it was required to be CPR/First Aid Certified. Now I first received my CPR training in the US Navy and then as part of my coaching with my kids as a community coach. It never occurred to me that after I finished coaching youth sports to keep my CPR current and refreshed. So my thoughts today were around if I had to save one of my BMR brothers life..could I? I also wondered if one of my BMR family had to save my life could they. On that note I highly recommend that each member of BMR take a CPR course and get certified. If the time should ever arise that you need to help one of our own, one of our family members, one of your friends or a stranger, I would like for you to have the skills and knowledge to do so. One of our biggest supporters, Denise McCoy , is a nurse and certified instructor and is willing do sessions to get everyone in the Atlanta chapter certified if desired. Denise McCoy is the owner and operator of LifeSkills Training, LLC which is mobile CPR training company. LifeSkills Training provides professional, personalized and high quality First Aid/CPR/AED training and certification for your groups needs. Training can be 1:1 or up to six participants (Groups of 7 or more participants can also be accommodated with prior notice of registration) LifeSkills utilizes American Red Cross (Basic Life Skills) BLS. Your First Aid/CPR/AED certification will be valid for 2 years. Special (Introductory) Fee for the training and certification is $25 per person. Lets start by getting a few courses setup so we all have this important knowledge and hope we never have to use it but will be prepared if we are needed.
