#BOINGO COMING SOON! We are pleased to announce the launch of Boingo/Exchange CONNECT WiFi Internet service at 11 CONUS locations on Wednesday, October 1. The launch coincides with the expiration of AWN service. Served locations include: Ft Gordon, Ft Carson, Ft Stewart, Ft Benning, Ft Bliss, Ft Campbell, Ft Eustis, Ft Huachuca, Hunter Army Airfield, Ft Irwin and the Presidio. Key facts about the launch: • Service transition seamless. Boingo service turns on at 12:01 am, October 1, and barracks residents will immediately be able to pick up a WiFi signal on a computer, laptop, tablet or Smartphone. Boingo’s technology allows the user to enjoy high-speed Internet and TV without having to hook up a wire. If you hear of an issue, have the person contact Boingo Customer Service (866-726-4646) or AWN Customer Service (877-296-8396), depending on the need. • How the customer gets service. The customer clicks on the Boingo WiFi icon, creates an account and starts service. Plans are available by the day, week or month. Note: AWN service at all locations will stop on September 30. • Boingo/Exchange CONNECT service will be able to provide tiered Internet service levels from 5 Mbps for $29.95/month to 30 Mbps for $49.95/month. Another aspect is that the new service is portable, meaning that as Soldiers or Airmen move room-to-room or in the future (as service launches at more locations) installation-to-installation, they’ll be able to take their account with them. • TV will be a very attractive option. Boingo’s IPTV (TV delivered via the Internet) packages provide an alternative to more expensive cable and satellite services.
