BOSSO FAN EZRA CONCEDES DEFEAT CONGRATULATES DYNAMOS By Ezra Tshisa Sibanda Congratulations, Amhlophe, Makorokoto to Dynamos DeMbare for winning the PSL league championship in Zimbabwe. Once again they have won it because of a better goal difference than their fiercest rivals Highlanders and Harare City. Dynamos have won 3 consecutive league titles, all because of scoring more and conceding less goals than Platinum in 2011, following year 2012 Highlanders were the victims and now 2013 Highlanders again and Harare City same story. My good friend Calisto Pasuwa has made history by becoming the first ever premiership coach to win 3 consecutive league titles. This is the man who has been abused, booed & physically threatened by some hard to please DeMbare fans. Im sure they are cursing themselves and regretting terribly the treatment they have given Pasuwa. He was on the brink of being sacked when Dynamos were knocked out of the Mbada Diamonds Cup by How Mine. Yes his team played badly in most of their games but they were grinding results which was the key to their success. In a class of daft students there is a number one, thats the scenario in Zimbabwe PSL league, the football teams have been horrible bad including Dynamos and luckily they won it again. I also want to commend Caps United for being so professional and playing to their fullest potential to hold Harare City to a draw match. Knowing the rival between Caps and Dynamos, many people expected Caps to make it easy for Harare City to prevent Dynamos winning the title but true to the principles of the sportsmanship they played fairly and cared less about sleeping with an enemy in crowning DeMbare as Champions. As for Highlanders they just didnt have a proper team to compete in this league, they had average players this past season, most of whom lacked passion and commitment to truly represent & donn the black and white colours. They were so poor in every respect, tactically clueless and certainly not championship material. How do you expect to win the league when you drop 17 points at your hunting ground Barbourfields Stadium? They failed to beat both Dynamos and Caps United, with these 2 Harare giants collecting 4 points each from Bosso. You cant win the championship if you dont beat those two in Zimbabwe. I cant even mention some tiny teams which collected maximum points from Highlanders. A team on the brink of winning the league title loses 4 nil in the second last game of the season to fellow title contender, that says it all how pathetic they have been! A club which has a contracted head coach chasing his own interests attending overseas courses and deserting the team at a crucial stage of the season. What riles me is seeing Bosso, a club which was known all over the country and beyond for its junior policy is now relying on players with average age of 31, are they serious??? Finally, the standard of football in Zimbabwe is painfully going down and very poor. It lacks entertainment value, it is just manifested by unskilled, untalented, classless and overrated players. We just need to get back to basics as a club. Go out, identify, groom and nurture young talent for the future. At the end of the season hopefully Bosso wins the Mbada Cup next week please give retirement letters to some of Bosso players and ask them not to come back again and never to be seen near Bosso training ground!!!
