BOTTOM LINE TO WHAT A MOOR REALLY IS..... A moor is a African that was islamized and mixed with arabs. In the arab conquest of Africa starting in 600a.d. They had babies with african women and the children or bastard children were used to help in the conquest of africa because they had both races of parents and didnt know who to have alliegance with. So the islamized africans and the mixed breed africans all became known as moors (labeled by the europeans) and they crossed the sahara all the way up to spain eventually in 700a.d. Thats all they are. The european called them all moors meaning black people cause they didnt call themselves Moors and they were african and arab mixed all up. Later the mixed group of Moors who were Muslim and had been participating in slavery and in the arab slave trade since 600a.d. and was very familiar with slave trading and murder also helped the European with the Trans-Atlantic slave trade of the Europeans. There were no Moors in the Americas until after Columbus sailed to the Americas. Before Columbus there was simply a mix of Africans and Native Americans here in America. The Native American type was in America in much larger numbers than the African but the Africoid peoples were here co-habitating but in smaller numbers than the Natives. Moor was never a nationality but only a name the European called black & arab mixed muslims that meant black peoples. (period)
