BOYS LACROSSE SCORE UPDATES CENTRAL 12 METRO-NORTHEAST 9 Central used a second half surge to cruise past Metro-Northeast 12-9 Thursday morning. In the first quarter, Metro-Northeast posted three goals and kept Central off the scoreboard. The following frame, roles reversed and Central found the back of the net three times to keep the score tied at 3-3headed into the locker rooms. Out of intermission Central registered seven goals and coasted to its third victory. Midfielder Derek Brodeur (Marlborough), midfielder Michael Martens (Northborough) and attacker Billy Doherty (Marlborough) were the top scorers for Central as Brodeur tallied three goals and two assists while Martens and Doherty notched two goals. Forward Casey Iskra (West Roxbury), Charlie O’Donnell and Liam Ryan each scored two goals for Metro-Northeast in the setback. Ezra Itkowsky (Northborough) (1 save) and Zachary Livingston (Whitnesville) (4 saves) combined for the win between the pipes. Metro-Northeast’s Joe Marmion (Waltham) (8 saves) and Andrew Modugno (Reading) (6 saves) totaled 14 saves in the defeat. SOUTHEAST 17 COASTAL 1 Ten different Southeast players recorded a point, as the squad trounced Coastal, 17-1 on Thursday. Attacker James Righini (Weymouth) led Southeast with four goals and an assist for five points . Adding to Southeast’s offensive showcase, midfielder Kyle DeLuca (Weymouth) poured scored twice and handed out an assists. Five different athletes notched two goals each, while three added one. Coastal’s only goal came in the first quarter from midfielder Max Lambert (West Barnstable). In the win, Jack Dunford (Quincy) and Patrick Kimball (North Attleborough) posted four saves and three saves, respectively. Shawn McNamara defended the pipes the entire contest for Coastal to tally seven saves.
