BPA Uekera, Ueretan Bauro was suspended because he left out one sentence from the govts press release, MP Tebuai Uaai owed 20,000 outstanding imprest to Kiribati. His other mistake was that he failed to get Tebuais response. While newspapers already printed, govt ordered to reprint, so all papers were collected, and dumped in the rubbish pin or paper recycle, and new one reprinted carried 20,000 debts. Tebuai Uaai complained because Uekera published without contacting him to answer that 20,000 claim. Papers already printed, and new directive came from above, not sure where, OB or state house, to reprint, this means the editor doesnt exist. Editorial rests with government. Bullying tactics. They suspended the editor for what? for not contacting the MP? Why didnt they do that themselves as they are the new editors?
