BPC | Botswana Power Corporation 1.SAFETY OFFICER (Tenable in Morupule) 1.1.Main Purpose of the Job To implement and monitor SHEQ programmes and activities within own area of responsibility to minimize safety and health risks and to ensure compliance with BCs integrated SHEQ performance standards as well as statutory requirements. 1.2.Qualifications and Experience • Recognized Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related area. •Registration in a recognized occupational safety institution preferred. •Three(3) years post qualification experience in the area of SHEQ or related field of which 2 years will have been at a supervisory level in an industrial environment. 1.3.Competencies •Communications and Consultation • Proactive and initiative •Planning and coordination 2.SUPPLIES SUPERVISOR - PROCUREMENT, WAREHOUSING & INVENTORY PLANNING (Tenable in Morupule) 2.1.Main Purpose of the Job To organize and supervise the receiving, inventory planning, procurement and warehousing activities of the Corporation in accordance with laid down policies and procedures. 2.2.Qualifications and Experience •CIPS Advanced Certificate or Diploma in Supply and Materials Management •Three (3) years in a materials Management environment, preferably of technical store. 2.3.Competencies •Good interpersonal relations •Team leadership and customer focus •Accuracy and attention to detail •Procedural Awareness and Understanding •Proactive and Negotiation skills 3.ASSISTANT NATIONAL GRID CONTROLLER (Tenable in Gaborone) 3.1.Main Purpose of the Job To control and maintain system balance in order to ensure good quality of power supply in accordance with procedures and standards. 3.2.Qualifications and Experience •Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ higher National Diploma •Two (2) years with ordinary Diploma •One(1) year with Higher National Diploma in a power system operations environment 3.3.Competencies •Compliance with procedures • Analytical skills •Customer orientation •Technical expertise •Computer literacy 4.ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER (Tenable in Morupule) 4.1.Main Purpose of the Job To develop, coordinate and monitor SHEQ management systems in order to achieve requirements of ISO 14001 to ensure compliance with BPCs integrated SHEQ performance standards and statutory requirements. 4.2.Qualifications and Experience •Degree in Environmental Management or related area •Five (5) years post qualification experience of which three (3) years will have been in a senior position in an industrial environment. 4.3.Competencies •Technical ability •Diagnostic ability •Analytical thinking •External environment orientation •Communication - Technical Service 5.CHIEF FIRE OFFICER (Tenable in Morupule) 5.1.Main Purpose of the Job To develop, coordinate and monitor fire safety programmes and activities in order to minimize fire risks and to ensure compliance with BPCs integrated SHEQ performance standards and statutory requirements. 5.2.Qualifications and Experience •A Degree in Fire Safety Management or equivalent.
