BRAD AUSMUS SHOULD BE FIRED! I dont make KNEE JERK REACTIONS on anything, and I have thought about this a lot! But this guy CAN NOT MANAGE, yet! He shouldve been down in the minors LEARNING HOW TO MANAGE, or somebody like a LLOYD MCCLENDON shouldve gotten the Tigers job. Heres my case ladies and gentleman of the court. This team which impressed EVERYBODY running at the start of the season, has except for a few times, stood around on the bases like Austin Jackson! His use of his called up rookies has been like special guests called into a Gilbrater Trade Center, for a one time event! And the ones hes played for the most part, HAVENT EARNED THE TIME, because they just got called up from ERIE, and not TOLEDO! His handling of his starters, is where the dynamite has been placed at his foundation to blow him out of a job. How many times have we seen one of our starters pitch a GREAT GAME, or a 1 HITTER, and he either puts the getaway day lineup in, or ONE OF THE FLUNKIES FROM THE DETONATION SQUAD BULLPEN, who usually cant find the plate, or BLOWS THE LEAD or the GAME! A lot of that was because he overworked them in the early part of the season, because in this modern game of baseball, THE CLOSER MUST COME IN AND FINISH THE GAME! Boy did that work out! And then one of these pieces of crap, comes in, either rusty, tired, with no confidence, blows the lead, and the team somehow gets a Miggy homer, and that scrub relief pitcher, GETS THE WIN, which he had NOTHING TO DO WITH! And the starters get what most Tiger fans have since 1984, NOTHING but a few smiles, lifted eyebrows, a COKE, and a smile! BUT NO WIN, NO W, NADA, AND NO PARADE! THE BULLPEN! Now a lot of this goes on Tiger management and GM Dombrowski, for putting Brad in this position with a flaming dumpster of garbage in the bullpen, INCLUDING THE TWO USUAL SUSPECTS, Just say HELL No to PHIL COKE, and Sloppy Joe Nathan! These two men have given out more stress to Tiger fans, than tight underwear, politicians cutting workers hard earned pensions, and that fool who just cut you off on I-75, ran you into a near accident, only to duck off at the next exit to go to the WATCH REPAIR SHOP! Or more stress than a Tiger Starter, who just left with a lead, pitched a great game, and he hears over the PA, NOW PITCHING FOR DETROIT, PHIL COKE or JOE NATHAN! Now thats some FN STRESS! I want to see this team win, but Im so GODDAMNED PISSED OFF, after seeing them win a game, I CANT ENJOY IT! What pissed me off tonight? I watched the ESPN broadcast to hear what once great pitcher, Kurt Schilling would say about Verlander. And he was saying how to pitch to certain guys, and what he would do in his career, when the fast ball wasnt there in the high 90s anymore. And then he mentioned how managers of today need to pay more attention to their starters and stroking their egos, and letting them finish games. And as hes saying this, Verlander is pitching in a 10 to zip game, in the 8th, with one man on 3rd, and one out, and he gets the next batter to pop up. OUT COMES AUSMUS, to pull Verlander, and his very well for once, pitched game, with only 103 pitches, FOR THE GUYS IN THE FLAMING DUMPSTER, we call the Tiger bullpen! WE DONT NEED THEM, and what a way to wreck, Verlanders fragile confidence, on a night where he clearly made the transition to being JUST A GOOD PITCHER, and not a great pitcher.And Ive had it up to the RENN CENN, with this PITCH COUNT BULLSHIT, straight out of the Tony Larussa school of modern managing. What did Mickey Lolich tell the Navin Field Grounds Crew about pitch counts? He said that he told the manager that morning before the game, that he would see him AFTER THE GAME, later in the afternoon, AFTER HE FINISHED HIS 9 INNINGS, for a beer! But first Mickey said whats a pitch count? Our starters, and ME, and Im pretty sure most of you out there, have NO CONFIDENCE in ANY TIGER COMING OUT OF THE BULLPEN, to finish a game, or God forbid, play to win a playoff game. And you guys thought Valverde was bad? Now this team may luck up, and BEEP BEEP, BEEP and back into the playoffs, but somewhere in all of your minds, you know that BRAD AUSMUS, is going make some strange WTF move like take Miggy or Victor out for a pitch runner, in a tie game, going into late innings, or put NO HITTER ROMINE or SLOPPY JOE IN WITH 4 RUN LEAD, only to sit back and watch it fade away. Rob Parker said it at the start of the season, the Tigers weakness will be a pathetic bullpen, and a rookie manager, who STILL makes very questionable moves, when everything seems to be working alright. On that one, ROB DIDNT NEED HIS MOLES! I know this will never happen, because no, this aint hockey, who fires head coaches with PLAYOFF teams, days before they start, like the New Jersey Devils once did, but BRAD AUSMUS, win or lose, RIGHT NOW, is bad for this team, and should be fired! ALL I want to do is either take my loses like the ROYALS did tonight, straight without a chaser, or win with confidence, and very little stress. Im tired of firing up the shock paddles, walking away from the game in total disgust, and very tired of having 99 heart attacks, when THOSE TWO GUYS, come out of the bullpen! There, I said it, and like I said before, IVE BEEN THROUGH THIS BEFORE, but Ive never seen a great team like this, DRAG ASS like this, and win VERY VERY, UGLY! THANK GOD THEY DONT PLAY IN TIGER STADIUM, with an effort like that! It had enough pain and suffering to look at in the final days with THE RANDY SMITH ERA! I REST MY LONG WINDED CASE TIGER FANS!
