BRAIN FRAME has been going on once every two months (or more), for the past three years. The final one happens tomorrow night (Saturday), at the magnificent Thalia Hall in Pilsen. There are just 6 reasons why one wouldnt attend the final Brain Frame, and I have listed them here in order to help you understand whether you should attend: #1: You wont be in Chicago tomorrow night #2: You dont have $15 and no one will give you $15 #3: You are under 17 years old #4: You are incarcerated #5: You have a job you absolutely cant get out of #6: You are over 17, un-incarcerated, will be in Chicago and have $15, but hate seeing groundbreaking, challenging, funny, bizzare and dynamic art performed in front of a warm, inclusive and talented audience in one of the most beautiful performance spaces in the country. Many lives have been changed by this show, either by becoming a part of the organization or a member of the audience; so changed that there is now a 155-page, full-color, leather-bound yearbook in honor of those lives. Brain Frame 19 has a volunteer staff of 60 extremely talented people working to make this show memorable for everyone involved, so please do yourself a favor and take advantage of their dedicated labor. 6:00-8:00 - Musical performances from Flux Bikes and Myself (on Fender Rhodes and efx); interactive installations in the opera boxes; yearbook pickup / signing; seat-finding 8:00-10:30 - Wildly eclectic performances from Jessica Campbell and Aaron Renier; Anya Davidson and Carrie Vinarsky; Lyra Hill; Emily Hutchings and Ian McDuffie; Nick Jackson; Rough House; and Gina Wynbrandt. Equally entertaining hosting from Lyra Hill and musical interludes/accompaniment by me 10:30-1:00 - Hanging out; optional dancing to mandatory DJ sets by DJ Pluto (Ben Marcus) and me The show will be seated, both on the main floor and in the tiered balcony, and is open to anyone over 17, so if you know any youngsters invite them along, though mature themes will be explored. Thank you for reading.
