BREAKFAST BENCH MEETING. Attached with event photos It is our culture that we meet with four young people on every Tuesday. On this day we discuss on different youth’s prominent challenges in the world, and we suggest the means by which a young person can survive in the environment, achieve life success, live confident and comfortable life, where he see himself as a primary asset for his success, regardless of the political system in his country and religious morphology of his community; but only the inner-to-outer growing seed which is in the youth himself. We make conversation more educative, arising, awakening, influencing changes, and motivational toward hard working. In few last weeks ago, in the first days of the programme, particularly on 13th January 2015, we conducted a wonderful breakfast bench at the University of Dar es salaam. The ivent was more than interaction and socialization. We discussed on why young people’s projects in Africa do fail and other many things. Members of the symposium raised different challenges and reason on one way or another, which do cause the failure of many projects which are being established by these young people. In nut shell, these were few hints which symposiamists tried to pose out, and they are really serious and challenging in our environment and in our age. • The Challenge of Poor confidence. Young people tend not to believe that they are capable of doing big things. So when they try doing what they think is right, they soak-off their energy thinking of only failure before searching for success. • Surrounding Community. One contributor challenged the symposium by saying that, young people are not ready to work. If a single person brings a new idea, they think that he is seeking to be more popular. So they let him go alone instead of supporting the initiatives. At the end the other person fails, and it become the reason also, other works are failing. • Family Background. The question on the means of how young people are raised from their young hood was also a base of challenge. Some parents start calling their children weak, incapable, beating them when they show differences. At the end, children are growing up with poor confidence, where they also fail everything and at the final stage, they fail life. • The idea of thinking that you must be with enough fund for you to achieve. It was said, many young people can’t think, they just wait for some bosses and companies to employ them (Modernized slavery) so that they can get capital. So they wait for enslavement, in order to release of poverty. Also, On this, it was contended that, young people think that, only cash on hand is what is called capital. But they also blamed the system especially education system, as preparing people to be employees and not employers. • Thought that political system is the most enemy. Youths raised voices to say that, it is not the enmity about political system, but what we can think and do. SUGGESTIONS. • Emphasis on Unity. Young people are disorganized; they can do much if they get one voice, in different communities and do things with common mind and sense, with solidarity. • The reformation of family disciplinary systems. Young people, as tomorrow’s fathers and mothers, should know that they are having a great duty on building confidence to their children, in order to strengthen tomorrow’s Tanzania. • Investment in Health and Morals Young people, are mostly dying only when they start being popular and potential in the state. But if they keep their health as first asset, and morals as the yard stick to their struggles, they can fly heights. • Success for Young People as originating in them and not out of them. It is always true that, for any success which makes a person more successful must be associated to self esteem, self confidence, and commitment. Then committed vision, and solid mission. There you cannot wait for a person to start developing you, give you money, and give ways on how you can achieve, but you will fly. • Killing the Ghost of selfishness. Finally, the bench suggested that young people should avoid the spirit of selfishness, destruction of fellow’s dreams, should be supportive, and ready to teach what they know to others. The bench symposium was very wonderful and sweet. We really appreciate the initiative, and we invite you to visit us.
