BREAKING- More assault allegations by Refugee Coalition but Government of Nauru says all lies. According to the Refugee Action Coalition Sydney, theres been more direct violence been made against refugee children in one of Naurus school. The coalition claims that the refugee girls were set upon by 15 Nauruan boys. Radio New Zealand asked for a comment from Nauru Police Chief Corey Caleb but refused requests to say what action, if any has been taken. However, a media release (Tue, Dec. 9th) statement made by the government of Nauru said the allegations are false and are an attempt to further their political agenda. According to GIO, no reports were made to both the Nauru Police Force and staffs from the school of the concerned reports. The government of Nauru condemn these allegations as it is damaging and implores to report on facts and respect the ethics of journalism. Refugees on Nauru also posted a similar allegation originally from another refugee advocates page named Pamela Curr. Ms. Curr claims that the girls who attended Nauru College were attacked by the students last Friday (5th December). Curr claims that the Nauruan boys came to the refugees’ English class, threatening and abusing them before physically attacking the three girls and despite the girls identified had the attackers, no action was being made. In other related events, the government of Nauru have also further determined another 25 refugees status at Nauru who will be living among the community. They are encouraged to work with the community or set up businesses. radionz.co.nz/international/pacific-news/261211/more-violence-directed-at-nauru-refugees
