Ramsey slams Scholes for `strange` Arsenal outburst midfield dynamo Aaron Ramsey would like to have given Paul Scholes a similar sort of verbal attack to that which the former Man United and England man dished out to Arsenal recently. But the young Welshman seems to have a bit more class than Scholes and confined himself to pointing out why the attack was misguided. It came when Scholes was working as a pundit alongside Gary Neville. United had suffered another drubbing, so Scholes was clearly in a bad mood, but even Neville was surprised by the ferocity of his attack on Arsenal, claiming we had no leaders, no bottle, were a million miles away from winning the league. He even had a special attack on Jack Wilshere’s lack of progression. At the time, some Arsenal fans agreed with him, but we were all in a dark place after seeing the title challenge disappear, but the attack was too one-sided, forgetting the injury problems, the fact that we had topped the table for so long and our new defensive strength, which Ramsey points out in reply to Scholes in a Sky Sportsreport. Details:- Ramsey said, “It was a bit strange. This season we have been solid defensively. “In our four games against the teams at the top we’ve conceded 20 goals. If you cut them out we would have conceded just 21 goals. “So we are defensively as a team much stronger now and feel a lot more comfortable with our defensive roles. We feel we are improving now. “There are a lot of leaders in the team, who are hungry to win. Mikel (Arteta), Per (Mertesacker), and people like myself, Jack (Wilshere) and (Lukas) Podolski – all of us are very passionate and leaders on the pitch who help each other. “I think it is just because we haven’t won anything for a while and people are just looking for things to say. Sometimes things just come out of your mouth.” I love that last line, which basically means that Scholes has not got a clue what he is talking about. You tell him Rambo!.
