BREAKING BRAVES NEWS: The Braves signed free-agent pitcher Ervin Santana to a one-year contract this morning. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Santana resurrected his career last year when he went 9-10 with a 3.24 ERA for the Royals. The 31-year-old right-hander, who will wear #30 for the Braves, had piqued the interest of the Orioles, Blue Jays and Twins earlier this week before ultimately signing with the Braves. As of today, Atlanta will enter the season with a rotation that consists of Santana, Julio Teheran, Freddy Garcia, Alex Wood and David Hale. -MJ
