BREAKING. Deputy Mayor Paul Williams, Councilmember Amy Brendmoen, Ramsey County Commissioner Janice Rettman, Park and Recreation Director Mike Hahm, and members of the community celebrated the ground breaking of the Trout Brook Nature Sanctuary and Regional Trail this afternoon at 4pm. Highlights of the project include the creation of a 40 acre nature sanctuary, expansion of the Trout Brook Regional Trail, and the construction of a trail head facility with restrooms. The project will also create a series of ponds and wetlands that will be used to collect and filter storm water before it flows into the re-created Trout Brook stream channel. The ceremony was held at 1200 Jackson Street (corner of Maryland Ave and Jackson Street) .
