BREAKING NEWS: NAMES RELEASED IN MURDER-SUICIDE Read todays Courier Press for the latest, breaking news on this Crawford County incident On March 10 at 5:30 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department received a call of an unresponsive man laying in his driveway on County Highway X in rural Clayton Township (Wis.). When deputies arrived, they found 70-year-old Robert Reagan in his driveway deceased from a gunshot wound. A search of the house was conducted. Inside the house, investigators found a woman in the bedroom with a fatal gunshot wound. The woman was later identified as Roberts 68-year-old wife, Karen. “It appears that the husband shot and killed his wife inside the residence, and then went outside and shot and killed himself,” said Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick. The Wisconsin State Crime Lab was called to assist with processing the scene for evidence and the Wisconsin State Patrol was called to complete a diagram of the crime scene. Autopsies were performed on both the husband and the wife on Tuesday and investigators are looking into the background of the couple. This is not a residence to which the sheriff’s department was routinely called. “The last call at their residence was in 2008 and we have never been called there for a domestic,” McCullick said. “We feel that this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the general public.
