BREAKING NEWS: THE NEW YORK STATE CODES COMMITTEE PASSED THE GMO LABELING BILL! (A-3525) The unofficial vote count was 15 -6. (We will post a list of those who voted for and against as soon as we get that information). The vote happened just hours ago. This is the second hurdle and an important victory in moving the bill forward. Thanks to everyone who sent emails and called Codes Committee Assemblymembers over the weekend – your calls and emails are making a difference! The bill now goes to the Ways and Means Committee for determination on a full Assembly vote. We’re coming VERY CLOSE to mandatory GMO labeling in NY!
