BREAKING NEWS: The Chairperson of Kenyas Independent Electoral and Bounderies Commission (IEBC), Mr. Issack Ahmed Hassan, has announced his resignation in the wake of a high-voltage international procurement corruption scandal allegedly overseen by himself & a number of Fmr officials in the defunct IIEC. The Serious Fraud Unit of the UK government presented in a UK court evidence of #Chicken back-pass amounting to nearly $ 1 USD Million that fraudulently went to top officials. Kenyas Opposition CORD had earlier today called for resignation of Issack, a cabinet secretary, their prosecution and that of other (serving and former) electoral officials. The Kenya government is yet to issue a formal communication in light of these developments. Kenya held its presidential elections in March 2013, where Jubilees Uhuru Kenyatta was declared President. CORD candidate Raila Raila Odinga unsuccessfully contested the results at the Supreme Court of Kenya.
