BREAKING NEWS :UPND RESPONDS TO BISHOP CHOMBAS DEFAMATION OF PARTY PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA 22nd December, 2014. PRESS STATEMENT THE UPND PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA IS NOT A SATANIST The statement made yesterday by Bishop Chomba at the PF rally in Kabwe yesterday at lungu’s rally is very disturbing and disappointing coming from a man of God who is supposed to be preaching peace. We as the UPND want to tell the Zambian people that our Party President Hakainde Hichilema is not a Satanist or mason. We are giving Bishop Chomba 24hrs in which to provide evidence towards his claims. Also we are taking Bishop Chomba to court over this matter. Our lawyers are already working on this matter. As a party we shall not take this issue lightly. This is defamation of character. The statement by Bishop Chomba is meant to alarm the nation and should be condemned in strongest term. President Hakainde started business when he was still a young man at University of Zambia. President Hakainde is a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and has a track record of how he has amassed his wealth. Our President is just an ordinary man who has worked so hard all his life. We know that the PF has no vision for this country. Instead of telling the Zambian people what they will do for this country they are busy insulting our President. We know a lot about the deeds of this Bishop Chomba, things he would not want the Zambian people to know about him, but we will keep that for another day. We are telling bishop Chomba to provide evidence over his statement and that we are taking him to court over this matter. And if there are people using him to make such statements we shall also take them to court. UPND has a candidate with real credential abilities. We have a candidate who has a vision for this country. We have a candidate who through his track record is able to show the Zambian people that he has the ability to move this country forward. Edwin Lifwekelo, UPND Spokesperson
