~BREATHE IN LOVE & WISDOM TO HEART AS FINAL - TopicsExpress

~BREATHE IN LOVE & WISDOM TO HEART AS FINAL DESTINATION...~ ~*ॐ❤ BREATH ❤ॐ*~ The Bön Mother Tantra, among other tantric texts, explains that the mind rides on the vital breath/energy currents like a rider on a horse, and the two travel together through the pathways of the channels. As the breath circulating in the channels becomes more balanced, the channels become increasingly pliable, allowing the vital breath currents to find their own comfortably smooth rhythm. We visualise the breath moving through our channels has the same attributes of emptiness like the sun shining in the sky. All positive qualities arise from the base of this channel, clearing and removing suffering and misery with the help of the breath. When the channels are clear, wisdom – selwa – can arise. ~*ॐ❤ MIND ❤ॐ*~ Usually in the tibetan tradition you don´t start with the body. In these practises you start by calming the mind so its not so monkey-like, and you are able to ground it more in the body. When they talk about the mind, the Tibetans will not point to the head but to the heart – they call it sem, Sanskrit citta - so its a kind of heart-mind that is really more based in the body or connected more to the body, not just in one’s brain/head. To still the mind, you bring the breath into a particular energetic point or chakra. Trulkhor practices work specifically with the energetic or subtle body. This is composed of channels (tsa, Sanskrit: nadis), vital breath currents (lung, prana), and essential spheres (tigles, bindus,), providing the landscape where the mind and the physical body connect with each other. How do these practises clear away obstacles and bring enhancement to your meditation practise? By holding the mind and the breath and being able to work with the body in this active way, you´re able to tame the horse of that wild breath. You connect to the kind of breath there, then you do a movement that helps release whatever stuff is there. It is referred to in tibetan as gek or obstacle, which could be physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. Once you exhale you can release that obstacle and allow the mind to be in a more relaxed and aware state of mind. So there´s a sense of balance through these practices that becomes quite apparent as one practices. And it stabilizes not just the body and the breath, but more importantly your state of mind. There are 2 main concepts that are very important here: one is geksel, which is ‘clearing away obstacles’, and the other is bokdun which is ‘enhancing the meditative practise’. And these two go very much together in all these tibetan yogas. Whether we are practitioners of a particular tradition or just human beings that are wanting to transform certain aspects of ourselves it is important that we realise how these practises can be really helpful in that transformation. The transformation is that magical aspect whether its physical or emotional, mental or spiritual transformation. And therefore the movement that brings the body-energy-mind together in that transformation, is the magic that is the result.
