At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn. People come to us in relational breakdown, many convinced they have married the wrong person. I know a little about this from a personal perspective. Early in marriage I was selfish, angry, obsessive, controlling, aggressive, and chauvinistic. I was also hardworking, adventurous, and religious. Deanna admits to believing she married wrong several times. Had she acted on that analysis she would have missed out on a marriage she claims is now like 25/10. If the offending party is not breaking the law I am often led to say, Why dont you use the relational pressure to go for God? If your partner is not for real they will take themselves out. Very few people have the character strength to carry this out. Deanna did and is reaping the benefits today. Lord, thank you for Deanna. May there be many like her. The relationship was not just one way. I needed you to shake her out of passivity and playing it too safe. She learned to trust me through herexperiences with you.
