BRIEFING ON THE BLASC AGM HELD AT THEUNIVERSITY OF FREE STATE Four delegates from the BLASC-UJ executive committee were sent to represent the UJ branch at the AGM in the Free State. on the 28th of September 2013 there was a gala dinner held at Tuscan Rose, which commenced at 18h00 till 22h00 , at the dinner there were speeches delivered by the Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development John Jeffrey and Justice Boseilo of the SCA, where they discussed various issues regarding the LLB summit, the transformation of judiciary an the law profession, the legal aid funds and attorney costs, (a video will be attached below on one of the issues discussed ). On Sunday the 29th September 2013 an AGM was held at the University of Free State, the meeting started at 10h00 till 18h00 where the different branches engaged in debates, discussions and they got to raise their concerns to the Judge of the SCA Justice Boseilo. Towards the end of the meeting, elections for the new National Executive Committee 2014 were held, and we are proud and happy to announce that one of our very own Mr L.M Morgan was elected as the National Spokesperson for the NEC.
