BROKEN VOWS I didn’t come to the seashore To enjoy the waves, Or display the current rave, I came to assess progress in my home. I have seen the river banks, Littered with lavae of crabs That the tide had left behind. Those proud periwinkles that were on a roll, Have exhausted their roles And are abandoned with their trombones. After executing all those pedestrian actions, With confusing actions That destroyed our nation, They want me to still stand at attention? We are all victims of A chain of broken vows.
