BROMSGROVE DISTRICT COUNCIL ELECTIONS 7th MAY 2015 John - TopicsExpress

BROMSGROVE DISTRICT COUNCIL ELECTIONS 7th MAY 2015 John Ellis - The voice of the silent majority I would like to announce that I intend to stand as an Independent Candidate in the forthcoming May elections in the new ‘Rock Hill’ ward. For too long the District has been dominated by the main political parties who think more of playing party politics than representing their local communities. As an Independent Councillor I will not be dictated to by a party whip and will represent the local community interests. I am disappointed that the current district ward councillor has not attended any Stoke Heath Parish Council meetings and only just over half of the District Council meetings in the last year. I expect more from an elected member and hope that you would too. As an active member of the parish council and community it puts me in an excellent position to make sure I remain close to the local issues. With your support by electing me in May I will make sure Rock Hill is fully represented and remain active on your behalf. I strongly believe that it is about the person and not the political party; when it comes to local issues it’s about the person not their political affiliations; I will remain committed to supporting your views both locally and across the district. I have been the Chairman of Stoke Parish Council for 5 years where I have worked hard to represent my local community; I now feel the time is right to do the same at District Council level. If you would like to know more please do not hesitate to contact me on the above number. I intend to do a number of local surgeries where I look forward to speaking to you directly.
