BROWN PUTS WRENTHAM HOUSE ON MARKET Former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown, who has been mulling a presidential run, has put his Wrentham home on the market, asking for close to double what he and his wife Gail Huff paid for it in 1995. Brown got his start in the southeastern Massachusetts town was where he was town assessor, a selectman, state representative and senator before his upset victory in a January 2010 special election that sent him to Congress as the state’s junior senator. The 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath 3,020 square-foot home is advertised on Zillow, which describes it as a “unique colonial located in the desirable neighborhood of Oak Point.” The listing goes on to describe a “soaring” two-story foyer, an office with double French doors leading to the living room, and a family room “boasting cathedral ceiling and lovely brick fireplace.” The home was built in 1992 and Brown bought it in 1995 for $307,000. It is listed at $559,900. The Fox News contributor and attorney at Nixon Peabody has recently traveled to Iowa, where Huff is from, and owns a home in Rye, N.H., a state he has described as “like a second home." Brown is the featured guest tonight for GOP party dinner in Hampstead, N.H. - A. Metzger/SHNS
