BTW, tried to take some photos of some old airplanes (F-94, T-33, F-16, UH-1, etc.) at the Vermont NGs Museum @ Camp Johnson near Burlington today. The museums only open three days a week (not including Fridays or weekends) and, according to the security guard, no walking around the aircraft on outdoor display is permitted when the museum is closed even though the airplanes are out in the open, near the entrance, without a security fence, and hundreds of yards from the rest of the facility. Also, youre not allowed to take ANY pictures when the museum is closed even from a nearby parking spot. This is just foolishness which does nothing to make anything or anybody safer or more secure and which shows a complete disregard for interested members of the public. Not the guards fault, of course but its just ridiculous. Since I live three hours away and have no idea when or if Ill get up to Burlington again (especially between 10 and 4, Tues., Weds., or Thurs.), I found this pretty aggravating (Can you tell? LOL)
