BUDGET ON MONDAY’S AGENDA FOR SCHOOL BOARD The Quinlan Independent School District School Board will hold a budget and tax rate workshop Monday night before the regular monthly meeting. The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. The regular meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. The regular meeting agenda includes a public hearing on the budget and tax rate and adoption of the budget for the 2013-14 school year. Other items on the agenda include district goals; report on Student Health Advisory Committee; school lunch prices for next year; local policies; Consider and act on designating Chris Taylor to be authorized to accept contract employee’s resignations; and Consider and act on inter-local agreement with the City of Quinlan to provide technology services. The superintendent’s report items include Team of Eight training; HB 5; legislative update; training for school board trustees; promising practices in Character Education Award; and national public relations-marketing awards.
