BUILDING COLLAPSES IN ACCRA KILLING 5 PEOPLE By Graphic.gh / Ghana An uncompleted building of the Grand View Hotel at Nii Boye Town, near Abeka Lapaz in Accra has collapsed killing some people. Reports suggest about five people have been killed. They claimed there were a woman, two children and some men in the building. The eyewitnesses said the 7-storey uncompleted story building collapsed at about 4:15am Thursday morning. Mr John Mark Eshun, whose house is opposite where the incident happened told Accra based radio station, Joy FM that he saw one man coming out of the building at about 4:15am to wash his face. “The building started collapsing just after that…the whole building starting collapsing… all the building was coming down, it started dropping and all the area was filled with dust. That is what happened,” Mr Eshun said. Security personnel made up of the police, the national ambulance and fire services are on the ground hoping to rescue some people trapped under the debris. Dozens of people have gathered at the place.
