BULLYING UPDATE: I want to thank you all for the support and prayers yesterday. As I told you, I went to the school yesterday to have a meeting with the school administrators. I also made several copies of the written account of what my son told me for the principal, vice principal and teacher. I thought it would be wise to have both a verbal and documented conversation. I was grateful that they all were just as stunned as I was. Before I could even leave the school grounds, they went into action. They discovered that several of the boys were saying these horrible things. But, my son only mentioned one particular person. So, I WILL be following up. The words were so horrific and shocking. They could not ignore the situation. The school could possibly have been in danger, as well, based on these words. I dont know if the kids understood the ramifications of such inflammatory rhetoric. But, as we have witnessed in the news at elementary schools, you cant ignore certain signs. Also, I was told that for privacy reasons, they cant tell me what will be done to the offending boy. However, I want to know what the plan of action will be concerning the safety of my own son. I have a right to know THAT. So, I am still not totally satisfied at the moment. But, I appreciate them taking it seriously and beginning an investigation immediately. I was also glad to see that they all were moved to tears. I cant stress to you all just how inflammatory those words were. I will get what I need for closure. Believe that! Part of me feels like it hurt me more than my son, but I still remember what was said to me the 1st day of kindergarten! I also remember that on the 1st day of middle school I was call a ****er. So, I cant ignore things like this. None of us can. My brother and I always say that we only have ONE CHANCE TO RAISE OUR CHILDREN! They only have one childhood and we have to do all we can to make sure it is a healthy one. So, I served the school and the devil notice. Im not having it! My children are off limits. And, guess what, so our yours. Bullying and teasing is no laughing matter. But, we will have the last laugh because God is our vindicator and our children will be victorious and protected, in Jesus name! They will fulfill their God given destiny. Stay tuned.... Blessings.
