BUSHFIRE WATCH AND ACT - Sampson Flat Message Issued: 06:24 06/01/2015 CFS advises that a bushfire at Sampson Flat in the Mount Lofty Ranges near One Tree Hill, Humbug Scrub, Para Wirra Recreation Park, Mount Crawford, Kersbrook, Gumeracha, Kenton Valley, Cudlee Creek area and Inglewood may threaten your safety. Fire conditions have been favourable overnight with no escapes being reported. Whilst there is not an imminent risk to lives, weather conditions may change and some breakaways may occur. It is expected that fire behaviour may increase in the coming hours as temperatures and winds increase. The uncontrolled fire is burning in scrub and grass. Check and follow your Bushfire Survival Plan and prepare for a bushfire in your area. If your plan is to leave or you are not prepared, leave now. Only leave if the path is clear to a safe place. Well prepared and actively defended homes can offer safety. You should not enter this area as roads may not be safe. Stay tuned to this radio station on a battery-powered radio for updates.
