BUT... I KNOW SHE LOVES ME I spent the afternoon and evening - TopicsExpress

BUT... I KNOW SHE LOVES ME I spent the afternoon and evening with my lovely In-laws yesterday. I must say that leaving my dog Brownie for 9 hours was if-y. At any rate I put down some chux pads, got her out often, and hoped for the best. I enjoyed a lovely day with family and friends, returning home a little after nine pm. When I entered my little cottage I fully expected to find a puddle of dog pee somewhere, but there was nothing, not a drop. I was relieved, and proud that my little girl held her water all that time. The Brown Master was dancing when I arrived so I let her out to relieve herself right away; I went back inside to unpack my bag from the trip, and to straighten up and relax. I walked over to the coffe table and as I finally collapsed on the sofa I notice a small WET mark on the middle of one of the cat beds. AH! I realized the poor dog had used the cat bed to relieve herself. I was relieved in that the bed could be laundered an the spill was contained.....well until I grabbed it up from the floor. I snatched up the cushion to toss it on the porch (until I could go to the Laundry in the morning) and the thing swung through the air as only a fully saturated sponge CAN do; spraying HUNDREDS of drops of dog urine all over the place. All over my hands, everything on the coffee table, my laptop key board, my jewelry case YIKES!!!!!!!!!! I cleaned up all the Pee, let the Brownster back inside, flopped down on the couch, the Brown One climbed onto the couch and curled up next to me (something she rarely does) I reached over to stroke here head thinking: SHE LOVES ME ... and that is truly all that matters.
