Ba-laam lifted up his eyes and saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes ; And the Spirit of God came upon him . And thereafter he spoke this parable saying, Ba-laam the son of Be-or has spoken: He which has heard the words of God , and that which he saw in a vision of the Almighty, fell into a trance, but with having his eyes wide open imparts unto you even now the words of Jehovah our God. How goodly are the tents, O Jacob, and your tabernacles, O Israel. As the valleys are spread forth as gardens by the rivers side , as the trees beside of the waters Jacob shall prevail. He shall pour the water out of his buckets , and his seed will be in many waters and his King shall be higher than A-gag, and his kingdom shall be lifted up. God brought him forth out of the land of Egypt and he has the strength as it were of the unicorn ( mighty ox ). He shall eat up the nations of his enemies . and shall break their bones , and pierce them through with arrows. He couched down and lay like a mighty lion , who shall approach him? Blessed is he that blesses Israel, and cursed is he that curses Jacob. And Ba-laam said unto Ba-lak, If you would give to me your house and it was filled with silver and gold , I cannot go beyond the commandment of the Lord , to do either good or bad of mine own mind ; but what the Lord says , that I will speak.
