Woman is honored in Bharat as the Lakshmi of the home, as the dharampatni (companion) in the pilgrimage towards God and Self Realization, as the mistress of the house.If the women in the country are happy, healthy, holy the men will be hardy, honest and happy. Women have equal right with men regarding bhakti, jnanam and vairagyam. How can women avoid or keep away from Om which is ever present in the akash (atmosphere) which their breath is reciting everymoment? As a matter of fact Pakriti the feminine principle comes first and the Purush (male) is second.You say Sita-Ram, , Lakshmi-Narayan, and Gauri-Shankar etc.etc. Women have equal rights to attain Godhead.
