Baby Jack update: Please say a prayer for my sweet baby boy tonight. He was still not feeling well this morning with a cough and congestion. I knew Jack wasnt himself because he was not bouncing off of the walls like usual. Unfortunately, I could not get him an appointment with his doctor. I suppose everyone else is getting sick this time of year too. So we ended up coming to the emergency room this afternoon when things still didnt seem right. Thankfully, Halston was able to get off of work and meet us there. Jack was so happy to see his daddy! They did some x-rays and ran some tests on Jack and found that he has pneumonia in his right lung. He has a low grade fever, his ear looks infected, and his throat is very sore. At least his oxygen saturations were not as low as last time. He is spending the night in the hospital to get fluids, medicine, and oxygen support. In typical Jack style, he fought his little heart out through every procedure- especially the iv. I warned the nurses that he was very strong and they quickly realized I was not exaggerating. One of them said, How many nurses does it take?... He is my little fighter and I wouldnt have him any other way. He is my marvelous miracle, my true pride and joy. I hate to see him feeling so miserable, but I know that through it all, Jack is in the best hands- Gods hands. We pray for healing and rest that only The Lord can give. We pray for wisdom, patience, and grace as we face this valley, knowing that The Good Shepherd walks beside us all the way. We have faith that The same God Who has healed our child many times before, will do it again. Heal me, O Lord , and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for Thou art my praise. (Jeremiah 17:14) I praise The Lord for all He has done for my miracle child and thank you for praying with us for healing.
