Back from an incredible experience hiking the Appalachian Trail from Cannon Mt. To Mt. Madison over the course of 7 days staying in 6 AMC huts with the New England Over 40 Meet-up Group... Mentally and physically challenging but extremely rewarding. Met many new friends, shared in the challenging conditions and had lots of laughs! My personal highlight was climbing Mt. Washington from the Lakes of the Clouds hut in 55-60MPH sustained winds with 75-80mph gusts in intermittent rain and heavy clouds/fog... Incredible! and oh yea, the view hiking along the Presidential AT ridge line (Washington, Jefferson, Adams and Madison) on WED-FRI with views all the way back to Lafayette was awesome too!
