Back home again after a week of all kinds of exciting first times, first time to drive across country, first time to see all the states I had not seen before. First time to spend a week with a granddaughter who has such leadership abilities and knows exactly how to handle almost any situation, I felt safe and secure. We, who are the two gabbers in the family found that we could have hours of silence and still be so comfortable. We met so many nice people who were all so eager to talk with us, that surprised us so much, and we loved it. Met a homeless man who refused a muffin, but then found one who was so appreciative and thankful. All in all, we made memories that will not be forgotten and I am thankful that I had this opportunity. I must admit though that flying back was a treat after 3 days of driving mostly looking at brown weeds.
