Back in 1955 (WOW, thats a long time ago. I was one) Little Richard was in a slump and just couldnt come up with the sound that his producer, Bumps Blackwell was looking for. They took a lunch break at a local dive, the Dew Drop Inn, and while waiting for their lunch order Richard started banging away on the piano singing some nonsense words, Awop Bop A Loo Mop A Good Goddam...Tutti Fruitti, Good Booty. It was the sound Bumps was looking for, they cleaned up the lyrics and recorded the song the same day. A few years earlier Richard was a dish washer at the lunch counter in the bus station in Macon, Georgia. He knew if he ever talked back to his boss hed loss his job so he created his own language knowing he was cussing out the boss when he said Wop A Loo Mop ... but the boss thinking he was just making noise. youtube/watch?v=gVWm9PQeYtE
