Back in Canada, Kak Ita, some other sisters and I joined forces - TopicsExpress

Back in Canada, Kak Ita, some other sisters and I joined forces with the Catholic nuns to sew blankets for the Iraqi refugees. And my last two years in Windsor were the most meaningful. Breaking fast in the mosque was a unique experience. There were Christian brothers and sisters ( clad in long skirts n sheer shawl to lightly cover their blonde hair) invited to break fast with us. And we attended their Thanksgiving lunch ( where Muslim cooks were hired ). And I always enjoyed listening to the reverends and brothers discussing the similarities and differences between the two religions. Sometimes when Brother Suleiman and Rev James were around, we were entertained by heated discussion as they were both passionate and headstrong alike but nevertheless, there were kisses and hugs in goodbyes. Somehow it is so different here.
