Back in July a long time friend invited me to run in my first 5K race in over 10 years (Tim Ring). I hadn’t even run three miles a week or two before the run; then come to find out it was a beach run. Needless to say it was a challenge to finish (I did barely). Today I ran my second 5K race (USO sponsored “Boots on the Run 5K”). It was great to run with one of my best friends again; Tim! Sorry, no pictures our official photographer slept in (Tammy). Tim and I had a great run and it was a great day to do it! Big Congratulations! to Tim for coming in second in the 50 year old age bracket. Just out of the medal category I came in third with my best time in almost eleven years; 24 minutes flat. Great Day! Great Run! Great Cause! And most importantly Great Friend!
